FULL BODY
EARLY CANCER AND HEART ATTACK RISK DETECTION .
Age is the most important risk factor for cancer. At about age 40, the risk of tumors forming in various parts of the body increases, along with each person's individual risk due to their family history, type of work, lifestyle, diet and other factors.
The Full Body Scan is performed with the 64-Slice CT Scan. In this study we search for suspected visible lesions that have the probability of developing cancer. The treatment success rate of some cancers depends on early detection.
Full Body Scan is a detailed scan and analysis of these main body zones and organs:
Head: Brain, eyes and para-nasal sinuses
Neck and Thorax: Heart (CORONARY CALCIUM SCORE / HEART ATTACK RISK DETECTION) and lungs.
Abdomen: Liver, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and colon (only detects extra-colon lesions)
Pelvis: Pelvic tumors
The Coronary Calcium Score (Amount of calcium in the coronary arteries) is performed with 64 CT Scan. It is a count of existing calcium in the fat plaques. Recommended for ……
A high score in the CORONARY CALCIUM SCORE indicates the presence of calcified fat plaques, which means there's a high Heart Attack Risk. Depending on the score, we can decide to take simple preventive actions like change in diet, exercise or stopping smoking, or if a surgical intervention is necessary.
A Full Body Scan with Contrast is used to monitor patients after cancer. A contrast medium is applied to the patient via an IV which improves the ability to detect visible abnormal or suspicious lesions.
Together with the knowledge and experience of our Medical Radiologists, a Full Body Scan helps make Early Detection a success for patients who want to know their current state of health and begin an early and timely treatment if needed.
